My family bred Chocolate Labradors while I was growing up, and after learning everything I could about breeding, they finally decided I could get a few dachshunds to start my own breeding program at the age of 13! After some help from my parents, vet, and local 4-H club, I learned a lot about animal husbandry and proper care.
I have been working towards improving this breed. Dachshunds are more complex than other breeds due to their short and long bodies. Our dogs are both AKC and CKC registered. They are fed NuVet Vitamins and Diamond and Pedigree brand dog food.
Each line we have seems to be different in regard to prey drive, good with kids, snugglers, or high energy. I have been working to improve each one! We have friends and neighbors come over regularly with their kids to help interact with puppies and adults to make more social pets!

Yes! All our dogs get seen by our Vet regularly. All mom dogs go to the vet with their litters, to make sure they are doing okay.
This is where we place a dog in a Foster home with breeding rights. ( You would be fostering to adopt.)
We would still have breeding rights to this dog. So every time we would need to breed with him/her you would be required to bring them back to us for a certain number of days. Once, the dog is ready to retire they will be spayed/neuter and stay with the guardian in their life long home. There are legal contacts for Guardian Homes. For more information please message us!
No. We have a few guardian homes for some of our dogs. We also co-own a few with my mother in NY. The majority of our pack does live with us though.
This varies based on our Vets recommendation. We don't start breeding till they turn 2 years old and have had 2-3 heat cycles. We retire our girls by 5 years old. The average girl will have 3 litters before retiring.
No, bio-security is very important to us. We do not want to risk anything coming into our yard.
We are happy to meet your at our local Tractor Supply with a mother or father dog if your would like to meet one or two.

Yes. All our dogs are AKC and CKC registered. Puppies are sold without paperwork to pet only homes. If your are looking for full rights please message us.
Yes we are! This means we have a local or state agent come to our breeding location and inspect our dogs and their living quarters. Sometimes this is a random visit, and other times its a schedule visit.
